Description

Farmhouse. Late C18/early C19 and mid C19. Squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and Collyweston slate roof. Originally probably 2-unit plan, with some ancilliary buildings to rear, now double depth. 2 storeys with attic. Main front is a 2-window range of tripartite sash windows, with glazing bars, under gauged stone heads with keyblocks. Ashlar quoins, ashlar gable parapets and kneeler and central ashlar stack. Left gable has one sash window with glazing bars. Right gable has mid C19 ooden bay windows with casement windows above. C19 part-glazed door to right has stones with carved lettering set in surround. Mid C19 range to rear has casement windows with gauged stone surrounds. Interior not inspected but noted as having spine passage with stone flagged floor. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p154)
