Description

Stables and archway. C17 to C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Irregular L-shape plan. Single storey. Main front of 6-window range of C17 two-light stone mullion windows with transoms. Bay to far right is C19. Hipped, half-hipped, and gabled roofs. C19 shallow segmental carriage arch is attached to left and links with Bulwick Hall and attached entrance loggia and attached garden room (q.v.). Rear elevation has range, set on 2 planes, attached at right angles to right. 7 plank and stable doors, under wood lintels, and one 2-light stone mullion window. Interiors not inspected but probably retain some original roof structures. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p28)
