Description
Manor house. Mid C17 to C20. Squared coursed lias and brick, some chequer patterned; with a slate roof. Originally probably E-plan now indeterminate. Entrance front of 5-window range. The 2 bays to the far left are C17, lias, with the centre breaking forward, originally as a porch, 6-light stone mullion window with transom to ground floor left and 2 three-light stone mullion windows to first floor. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers. 3 window range to right is probably late C18, chequered brickwork, with 6-light C19 stone mullion window to far right, centre C20 door with C19 moulded stone surround and hood. C19 dormers to first floor. Tall brick stacks at ridge and end. Interior remodelled early C20. The original C17 and C18 house was partially remodelled in 1893 and reduced in size in the 1950's.
