Description

3 houses. Mid C18 and C19; datestones 1896 and 1903 refer to addition of porches. Squared coursed limestone, parts rendered, with Collyweston slate roofs. Originally one-and 2-unit plans. Single storey with attics. Nos. 2 and 3 together comprise a 3-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels. 2 plank doors, between window range, with elaborate wooden porches, dated 1903. 5 eaves dormers to attic, with casement windows. Brick and stone stacks at ridge and end. No. 1 is a similar 2-window range attached to right; probably added C19. Wood porch is dated 1896. Interior not inspected but Nos. 2 and 3 probably have remains of open fireplaces. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p34)
