Description
Cottage. C16/C17. Coursed ironstone rubble, tiled roof, brick stacks. L-plan. Two storeys, 2-bay cruck construction. Doorway in second bay from right has wood lintel, half-glazed door and gabled timber hood on brackets. 2-light casement windows with wood lintels on either side. 2-light casement windows with wood lintels on first floor. Blocked 2-light stone mullioned window to first floor on right side. Gabled extension to left, similar materials, 2 storey, one bay, has C20 windows. Interior: One blade of cruck exposed on ground floor, two blades and tie beam on first floor. Said to have timbers in left blackened by smoke from former central hearth.
