Description

No description available on Magic website as not yet reviewed. Remains of Northampton Castle. What remains of courtyard, ie N part, seems to be bounded by a bank, which probably conceals ruins of stone curtain. An important castle in early Middle Ages. Source: Desc text/AM7////<1>. Bank up to 5m high. On summit, near S end, there are remains of a rightangled stone wall, 1.5m high. Source: Desc text/AM12/Armstrong L/1980//<2>.
