Description

House. Probably late C17 and C18. Squared coursed limestone with thatch roof. Originally probably 3-unit plan. Single storey with attic. 4-window range, to attic, of C19 style casements under eyebrow dormers. Similar windows to ground floor, under wood lintels. C20 lean-to porch, with slate roof, to right of centre. Bay to far left has lower ridge. Rebuilt stone stacks at ridge and end. Building attached to far right is probably of same build with C20 lean-to roof and garage doors. Interior not nspected but noted as having remains of open fireplace. Converted into 3 dwellings late C18/early C19, and reconverted C20. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p85)
