Description

{1} An archaeological watching brief was carried out during groundworks for the construction of a new external drain. The watching brief found that the former medieval tower footings survived adjacent to the east end of the south and north aisles and probably part of the foundations of the west wall of the tower was found in the west baulk section of the drainage gully. The other parts of the tower's footings were not found, these seem to have been totally destroyed in the 1970 concrete and brick foundations of the vestry.
