Full Description
{1} In Domesday book, Little Harrowden was called 'The other Hardegone' and was included in the lands of the Bishop of Coutances. It is thought that the parishes of Great and Little Harrowden, and Hardwick, once formed a single unit. The name of Little Harrowden or Harrowden Parva was in use by 1227.
{2} Settlement remains (SP 870714) formerly part of Little Harrowden, lie on the SE side of the village, on the W side of a small valley. Slight remains of a series of embanked closes extend down the valley
and are probably abandoned paddocks of the existing houses to the NW.
