Description

CAS Project/Event No.: 662/2000a Unauthorised digging of a water-main trench through a scheduled area necessitated a damage assessment. 6 segments of the pipe trench were re-excavated and the sections cleaned. The assessment revealed that complex archaeological sequences and evidence of structures had been disturbed.Supplementary information from Central Archaeology Service Events Report.
