Description

{1} A watching brief was carried out during the replacement of a water pipe at Whilton Lodge Farm. The trench was 250mm wide and was excavated to a depth of 1.10m by a drainage machine except the last 16m, which was excavated using a JCB 3CX excavator. No significant archaeological remains were observed during the groundworks. A single sherd of Roman pottery was found at SP6106 6496 but not retained.
