Description

{2} Trial trench excavation and subsequent watching brief revealed a possible 11th/12th century boundary. Slight traces of the seventeenth century building which occupied the site were identified (as well as coin hoard of this date). Several fragmentary walls were discovered which could be of medieval date, but might be significantly later. Much of the archaeology had been truncated by 19th/20th century use of the site.
