Description

{1} A watching brief was maintained during groundworks for an electricity cable trench. Undated features were observed in the sides and base of the trench. The watching brief produced a small collection of finds from colluvial deposits: two flint flakes, a single rim sherd from a wide mouth, shell-tempered jar (14th/ 15th century), 3 tobacco-pipe stems and 2 fragments of slag. No firm conclusions can be drawn on the basis of this mixed assemblage.
