Description

{1} A trench to locate a water main was excavated within the site of a Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM No. 13630), which comprises of two medieval moated enclosures, fishponds and associated earthworks. The trench revealed the outer, eastern edge of the southern moat. A single, residual piece of 13th –14th century Lyveden/Stanion ware was recovered from the latest phase of silting.
