Description

Watching brief during installation of service trenches in graveyard. The limited excavations within the churchyard only demonstrated its intensive use as a burial ground. A very shallow excavation against the west wall of the South Aisle revealed its offset footings and possibly a rubble-filled construction trench. Excavations against and with the South Porch showed the area had been extensivley disturbed, though the upper part of the South Aisle foundations, below the South Door, were exposed. [Unable to digitise due to lack of control points on site plan.]
