Description

{1} The evaluation by Northamptonshire Archaeology identified a part of a group of Iron Age pits, a large linear Roman boundary ditch and other smaller Roman ditches, and a Saxon ditch. Other features included three boundary ditches, a series of pitched limestone drains and a quarry, all of post-medieval date. An undated isolated pit and two ditches were also recorded. The features were generally located in the area to the north-west corner of the site, with little or no archaeological activity from the trenches south and east.
