Description

{1} Two finds bags from separate dates. Note in finds bag by P Martin states: Mesolithic flint scatter found over an area of 1 1/2 acres. The site was situated on a bank rising out of river alluvium. The site is a very important one owing to the possible preservation of organic substances'. Flint includes scraper baldes, hammerstones, utilised flakes and a fragment of polished flint axe.
