Description

Planning and listed building consent has been granted for the erection of a single story unit between 26 High Street, Ecton and the former Baptist Chapel, which lies within its curtilage. As a result the former chapel will be brought into full domestic use. A building recording and analysis had been requested prior to any works being completed. The analysis has highlighted the fact that, much of the construction material and fabric of the existing chapel dates to the early Victorian period c1840. There is a good source of primary evidence, which has been supported by secondary evidence.
