Description

An archaeological building recording and desk-based assessment at The Old Rectory, Barnwell, Northamptonshire, conducted by Northamptonshire Archaeology between June and August 2007. The works detail the rectory’s early 19th-century construction and mentions previous discoveries of human remains beneath the lawns, but no significant new finds were reported in this study. Pottery fragments from the 19th century were uncovered during floor reduction in the cook’s pantry, indicating past domestic activity.
