Description

{1} Five trenches were opened on a 9.4ha parcel of land. Natural Jurassic limestone was exposed beneath the topsoil, although trench 4 had two layers of colluvium overlying the natural. Four undated archaeological features were investigated, including two linear gullies, a possible gully terminal and a probable pit/tree throw hole.
