Description

Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation on land for proposed development at Billing Lane, Northampton. Detailed geophysical survey was undertaken over 4 ha of the 5 ha site but no archaeological features were revealed. Subsequently fifteen evaluation trenches, totalling 450m in length were excavated. There was one modern gully and evidence for ploughing, but no archaeological features or finds were found.
