Abstract/Summary
Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation on land proposed for development at Billing Lane, Northampton. Detailed geophysical survey was undertaken on 4ha of the 5ha site but no archaeological features were revealed. Subsequently fifteen evaluation trenches, totalling 450m in length were excavated. There was one modern gully and evidence for ploughing, but no archaeological features or finds were found.
