Description

{1} A total of 16 trenches were excavated across the site, only one of which (trench 9) contained any features or deposits of an archaeological nature. Here the bases of two very shallow linear plough furrows were observed towards the northern end of the trench. No further archaeological features or deposits of an archaeological nature were identified during the course of works which was thought to represent a genuine absense of below ground features within the monitored areas, rather than their destruction by outside influences.
