Description

{1} The excavation of six engineer's test pits was monitored at Blilsworth House. The pits were located against the internal and external walls of the north-south orientated range of outbuildings to the east of the main house. Structural alterations had been made to the buildings since they were originally built sometime between 1726 and 1729. The only feature not directly related to the standing building was a fire reddened masonry feature towards the south western external end of the range.
