Description

{1} Twelve trial trenches were excavated. The trenching confirmed that the features identified by geophysical survey relate to a middle Iron Age farming settlement. Archaeological features were identified in five of the trenches located in the south-western corner of the site. The settlement forms part of a larger complex of of contemporary settlement activity that extends to the south of the site, parts of which were investigated in the 1990s. A medieval field boundary was also encountered. Site code: HSR10.
