Description

{1} Twelve trenches were excavated. Within the northern half of the site an isolated posthole and three small undated ditches all running on a roughly north-south alignment were encountered. Ditches running on a similar alignment were also identified in the southern half of the site. It is possible that these ditches form part of rectilinear field systems. A number of intercutting pits were also revealed but were not linked to any other features which may have suggested a settlement area within the vicinity of the site.
