Description

{1} A detailed magnetometer survey was undertaken across the two land parcels. This revealed anomalies typical of post-medieval and later quarrying and agricultural activity, especially in the housing development site, and the southern arm of a rectangular enclosure in the sports pitch site. {2} The geophysical surveys described in this report were undertaken as part of an archaeological evaluation of two areas of land which are subject to development proposals at Irchester, Northamptonshire.The survey has produced a number of positive findings, although they do not necessarily relate directly to the previously identified archaeological features listed in the DBA
