Description

{1} In 2010, a large area to the east of Nortoft Lane was examined. The site showed a continuation of the Iron Age pattern of ring gullies and settlement enclosures on its western side, with Roman enclosures to the east. An early Bronze Age cremation burial, middle Bronze Age waterholes and pits filled with burnt stone were the few features predating the iron Age settlement.
