Description

{1} Four evaluation trenches were excavated, one with the area of the SAM. The evaluation revealed evidence of late medieval/ early post medieval midden within the SAM. Two small pits/ postholes lay to the south of the SAM, one containing a single Romano-British sherd. Possible colluvial lynchets and/or made terracing deposits were identified in trench 2, likely contemporary with the late medieval/ early post-medieval parkland.
