{1} Seven trial trenches were excavated. The only archaeological feature of note was a pit containing charcoal and fired clay hearth or oven furniture of probable Iron Age or Romano-British date. Undated features included a narrow ditch, a truncated posthole and a burnt out tree root. Land drains of post medieval date were present in the majority or trenches, including one that had been inserted into a post medieval ditch.
