Description

{1} A watching brief was maintained during soil stripping operations in the area of the flood alleviation scheme. During the watching brief, significant archaeological remains were discovered and the contingency arrangement was activated and a salvage excavation was undertaken. Part of a middle Iron Age settlement was rapidly recorded. [HER note 11/09/2013: unable to digitise excavation area accurately due to lack of detail in source report]
