Full Description

{1} A rectangular area of unbonded stone approximately 9.5m by 7m was found lying in the centre of the site. It was c.0.25m thick and was devoid of finds. A few small fragments of possible Roman brick were observed pressed into the upper surface but to what extent these could indicate a date is uncertain. The feature sealed the ditches and it may be the foundations of a 19th century structure.
