Description

In August 2013, an archaeological trial trench evaluation was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology, commissioned by Midlands Developments Ltd, on land at Earls Barton Road, Great Doddington, Northamptonshire. Evidence of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation was identified along with a possible post-medieval ditch and modern features. The modern features are possibly related to an enclosure present on maps from the 1880s to the 1950s. However, a Roman coin was recovered from one of these features. [Information from OASIS form]. Site code: GDNEBR13.
