Description

{1} A trenching evaluation comprising twenty trenches revealed extensive remnants of ridge and furrow cultivation as indicated by a prior geophysical survey. A few were excavated and found to contain post-medieval material. There were several undated probable field boundary ditches but an enclosure suggested by geophysics was not revealed, perhaps indicating severe truncation by ploughing.
