Description

{1} The works identified posthole, pit and ditches dating from the Iron Age and early Roman periods. The archaeological features were all concentrated on higher ground to the north of the development area. The site was traversed by remnant furrows of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation. The anomalies identified by the earlier geophysical survey either resulted from modern agricultural practices or were modern field boundaries.
