Abstract/Summary

In April 2013, an archaeological trial trench evaluation was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology, on behalf of CgMs Consulting acting for clients, on land near Lilbourne, Northamptonshire. The works identified posthole, pit and ditches dating from the Iron Age and early Roman periods. The archaeological features were all concentrated on higher ground to the north of the development area. The site was traversed by remnant furrows of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation.
