Description
Site code: BLFR15. MOLA Northampton was commissioned by CgMs Consulting to carry out an archaeological trial trench evaluation on land at Finedon Road, Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire. The development area is located on low lying ground adjacent to a stream. The evaluation confirmed the presence of alluvial deposits at the base of the slope with colluvium on higher ground. The evaluation identified two modern ditches which indicate an attempt to improve the drainage of a field likely to flood. There were no pre-modern finds or features.
