Description

MOLA was commissioned to carry out a detailed magnetometer survey of the proposed 'Midway Park' development site adjacent to Junction 16 of the M1. The survey identified Neolithic to Bronze Age ring ditches, a probable late Bronze Age to early Iron Age pit alignment, an extensive Iron Age to Roman settlement, medieval ridge and furrow, a post-medieval watermill and a possible post-medieval lime kiln. A probable palaeochannel of the River Nene was also detected. Information from OASIS Online Form.
