Description

{1} Sparse medieval (c12th century) to modern features were found during archaeological observation. The site lay at the rear of former back plots which fronted both Harbidges Lane to the east and West Street to the north. The c12th century western plot boundary gully of Harbidges Lane may have been found and this suggests that Harbidges Lane may have been laid out in this period. The low quantity of features recovered from all periods may imply these peripheral back plot areas could have been used for agriculture related activities.
