Description

An archaeological open area excavation was conducted by Independent Archaeology Consultants for the construction of a new dwelling at Manor House Farm, Isham. The investigation area contained a number of archaeological features, predominantly dating from the medieval period. Three ditches produced 11th and 12th century pottery as well as rich inclusions of charred plant remains. The site is likely to have formed part of a larger Norman economy area, which was linked to a nearby Norman manor house. Site code: MHFI15
