Description
Trial trench excavation carried out in two phases to inform planning application for a solar photovoltaic park. In total 208 trenches were excavated over the entire site. In Field 3 there were 32 trenches. Post-medieval/modern field boundary ditches were identified, as well as made ground associated with the levelling of the landscape for the airfield (NB Small-scale maps in report prevented accurate digitaisation of trenches).
