Description
{1} Seventy-three trenches were excavated, with archaeological features present in thirty of the trenches. Six trenches produced features from which Roman pottery was recovered, suggesting dispersed Roman activity. A single cremation is also likely to be Roman in date. Two post-medieval to modern ditches were also identified along with a brick-lined culvert which ran across the development area. The majority of the features identified were undated, mostly comprising linear ditches supplemented by a small number of pits.
