Description

{1} A total of five test pits were excavated, three lay within the footprint of the former building with the remaining two located in a courtyard area to the north. Truncation of the natural substratum was observed within the footprint of the former building, however the courtyard test pits revealed a buried medieval wall, pits, garden soils and an 19th-century building beneath up to 3.0m of overburden.
