Description

{1} Archaeological monitoring of all sensitive groundworks associated with construction of new dwellings, including stripping of areas for the access road and building plots and the deeper excavation of trenches for footings was undertaken. A simple sequence of subsoil and topsoil was recorded overlying natural clays, in addition to rubble associated with the recent demolition of standing buildings on the site. No artefacts were retrieved during the investigations.
