Description

{1} Five trial trenches were excavated. The evaluation revealed evidence associated with medieval settlement activity including wall foundations and rubble spreads. Several ditches were also revealed and these may be property boundaries or possibly related to water management. The western edge of the site contained a medieval headland and therefore lay outside the medieval village.
