Description

Site code: KCBS12. Historic building recording established that the earliest part of the building was early 17th century and had mullioned windows, chamfered beams and an inglenook fireplace with a flat Tudor arch. Blocked doors at ground and first floor level in one gable end revealed there had previously been an attached structure to one side. An extension was added to the rear in the 19th century. This is shown on 19th century OS maps, but was at that time longer. It was reduced in length, but heightened, in the mid 20th century. Information from OASIS Online Form.
