Description

{1} Brick walls encountered in the stripped areas relate to buildings shown on late 19th to early 20th century mapping of the site. These buildings were demolished in the latter decades of the 20th century. The archaeological works did not identify any evidence of past activity predating the modern period. Deep deposits of modern made ground were recorded directly overlying the partial remains of the 19th-century buildings and the natural substrate, indicating that the site has been heavily truncated in the modern period
