Description

{1} Four trenches were excavated in the former pub garden. The trial excavation revealed evidence of truncated medieval features along with later drains, perhaps dating to the late sixteenth- or seventeenth-centuries. There was also evidence of undated burning together with eighteenth-century quarrying on the site and a large late nineteenth century rubbish pit.
