ENN108976 - Badby Road, Daventry, 2018 (Observation)

{1} Archaeological observation was undertaken during groundworks along the proposed route of a water main. It was split into two areas: a linear area was excavated in Area 1 and two test-pits were excavated in Area 2. Contaminated ground was discovered in Area 2 and works were discontinued while this was carried out. PCA were not subsequently called out to monitor the groundworks after this had been cleared. No significant archaeological finds or features were uncovered in the areas that were monitored apart from a possible furrow and drainage ditch.
