{1} Archaeological observation was undertaken during redevelopment of the site. The earliest archaeological features present on the site dated to the medieval period (mid 12th to late 15th centuries) including postholes from a medieval building which existed along the roadside and a collection of gullies and pits which were all located within the southern and eastern half of the site. Other evidence on the site comprised modern activity including a boundary ditch and spreads/foundations related to the creation of the working mens club which existed on the site prior to these works.
